About Us
  1. Title 1
Salem Christian Church, a non-denominational Bible church in Weston's rural countryside, was organized in 1837. A fire in 1927 destroyed most of the second church building that had been constructed in 1868. As a fundraiser, quilt blocks were sold, pieced and quilted.
At the dedication, the quilt was presented to the quilter as a token of appreciation. It was later donated to the Weston Historical Museum by her granddaughter who still lives in Weston. The quilt is still on display at the museum.
Our goal is to educate people how to follow Christ rather than man’s creation of religion; to help them mature in their faith and become bold disciples for Christ in the world around them by being taught exclusively from the Word of God.
We believe the Bible to be the inspired word of God and our highest authority and forever reliable in all matters of Christian faith and conduct.
2 Timothy 3:15-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21, Psalms 19:7-9

We believe that there is one God, creator of all, and the redeemer of humankind. God has revealed Himself as embodying the principles and relationship as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14
We believe the Deity of our Lord Jesus Christ. We further affirm that Jesus is the son of the Living God and that no one comes to the Father except through Him.
John 1:1; John 14:6; Matthew 16:16; Titus 2:13
We believe in Jesus’ virgin birth, His sinlessness, His miracles, His substitutionary work on the cross, His bodily resurrection, His exaltation, and His return for His people.
John 1:1, 2, 14, 18; Luke 1:34-35; Romans 3:24-26, 8:34
We believe that salvation is by grace, through faith in Christ Jesus, and that God desires all people to be saved. God saves all who repent of their sins and declare Jesus is Lord.  We believe that God’s plan of salvation is reflected in our tradition of preaching faith, repentance, baptism, remission of sins, and the gift of the Holy Spirit. We further affirm that all humanity needs salvation through Christ.
Ephesians 1:7, 2:8-9; John 1:12, 5:24, 6:28-29
